Even the smallest flame gives off heat, light, and scent. The candles are lit and when you close your eyes you will find that you are still in touch with those senses.
Take a deep breath. Let the air expand your lungs and fill your diaphragm fully. Hold it for a moment, concentrate on how it pushes your rib cage out, how your body expands to take in that which is good, how it makes room for the extra air you are holding beyond your normal breathing. Now release slowly - through your mouth. Let the breath hiss away from you in little bits. Push every part of it out - until you are empty once again. If you need, repeat this until you feel you are open to receiving, to expanding and taking in lessons from your guide(s) fully.
Each of us has a path we walk upon, and those paths may be rocky, or steep, or fraught with dangers. But they are ours paths, the path we have chosen, the path we have become used to and can navigate without much thought. There comes a time to find a fork in your path, and walk a different way. To take a chance, to experience the thrill of adventure, to open our eyes a bit wider to really see the new sights around us.
Find a quiet place to meditate today. You need only take a few moments. Outdoors in nature is ideal, but so is sitting on the floor of your bedroom, or at the breakfast table, or even in the shower! Close your eyes and picture our candles here - close your eyes and take those breaths described above. Drop your shoulders, relax your neck and back, let your coccyx bone drop lower in your seat (if you are sitting!). Let your body "open" the door to your mind and spirit time. Ask for your guide.
{For those of you who have your guides, go ahead and use our candles as your focal point. Think about this candle page and what you would like to see happen here, how you would like to see us interact, what meditations you would like to take part in, and then move towards your guide and have a nice chat! We'll see you on the next candle!}
OUR MEDITATION FOR TODAY
If you have never done this before, that's fine - there is no special trick to it. Just clear your mind and see yourself walking a path at a nice even, slow going pace. The path can be anything of your choosing - grass, a dirt road, a pretty rock walkway. Take your time, but as you walk this path, open yourself up for company. With your mind reach out and say "Hi! I'd like to meet you, I'd like to listen and learn, I'd like you to walk with me!" In time you may see a shadow coming near, as it gets closer you will begin to make out it's form. It may be human, or it may not. Animal guides are very common, as are older people, and young children. You may recognize your guide; it may be a long lost loved one, or it may even look just like you! Once you see your guide, keep yourself open and keep walking, they will fall in step with you, walking beside you as you journey. Allow their steps to move you, if they break off the path. If they take you to a clearing, go. They may point you towards the roar of oceans waves, head that way. Maybe they will stop in their tracks and ask you to sit right there - go ahead!
Now that you are with your guide take some time to get to know each other. Study your guide's face, their eyes, listen to the sound of their voice. If your guide is an animal it may speak to you with a human voice, or you may simply know what it is saying through it's eyes, don't be alarmed! Take as much time as you'd like. Your guide will let you know when you are done. Don't take your first time with them to ask questions yet, but certainly if you have met your guide(s) before, ask your questions, seek what you wondering about and find direction. Thank you guide before you part, and slowly begin coming back the way you went. If You do not see anyone, don't fret! Sometimes your guide may take their time in showing themselves, making sure you are ready and open. You can try this again whenever you feel comfortable. Some people find that their guide never manifests in a form, but instead is a voice, heard over the sounds of a flower filled field or the crash of ocean waves, or the bleating of sheep in a pasture! Always heard clearly!
When you open your eyes and adjust to this plane again you will want to remember to write down the answers you are given, and record anything you see while going to meet your guide, while you are together or when you part, that seems unusual to you. These may be signs you will find the meaning to later.
Each week we'll step into a meditation together. We'll have a purpose in mind, or a topic at hand. Let's help each other to find a better path or a better way of walking!
Buoni doni!
